10 Year Anniversary of Ts'Peten Standoff Anniversary Gathering

September 10 & 11, 2005

@ Ts'Peten (Gustafsen Lake, BC)

Six years before the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on the USA, Native peoples in Canada faced their own `9-11' terrorist attack (by the RCMP). On Sept.11, 1995, RCMP fired tens of thousands of rounds against Secwepemc warriors, and blew up a vehicle using an explosive charge. Despite being lightly armed, warriors succeeded in disabling a Bison APC used by police.

Come and honor our Native warriors who withstood the largest RCMP terrorist attack in Canadian history.

Bring camping gear (inc. plate, cup, KFS, tent, sleeping bag, etc.).

Bring food to share at feast.

Directions: Gustafsen Lake located about 30 km south-west of 100 Mile House along a forest service road. Road on the left side of Hwy. 97 after 100 Mile House. Watch for signs & ribbons.
