Crow Creek Longriders hopes annual motorcycle ride and humanitarian day will give hope to the youth around Fort Thompson, SD

Crow Creek Longriders, a Minneapolis motorcycle group, are pictured during their second annual five-state ride in June 2007.
The ride honors 1,3000 members of the Great Sioux Nation who were forced into excile at Crowk Creek in 1863 by U.S. troopers who use boats and cattle cars to force the American Indians from Minneapolis to one of the most remote desolate areas of the country.
The tropps hung 38 Native Americans - and the group doesn’t want Crow Creek residents to forget what happened during the violent exile.
Terry Alex, founder of the Crow Creek Longriders, said Humanitarian Day "will pass on hope to these people at Crow Creek show these young people that we care."
