General Secretary of the International Workers Association Ratibor Trivunac and another comrade have been arrested by the police while participating in the protest action organized to show public outrage because of the visit of the US Vice President Joseph Biden [in] Belgrade today, 20th of [May]. Illegal protest action was organized in the centre of Belgrade, where the USA flag was burned and a short statement condemning the role of the USA in reproduction of capitalist relations, wars, exploitation and discrimination in the world was read. We hope to have an amateur video clip of the arrest uploaded on-line to
www.youtube.com/inicijativa soon. We are currently gathering information on our arrested comrades, while our lawyers are trying to get in physical contact with them.

We will keep informing the public on the situation, and if
needed we will ask for solidarity actions. [The] Secretariat of the IWA is still available via telephone number +381-63-263-775 and email. Also, IWA archives are transferred to a remote location and are safe from police searches.
