Early in the morning of 14th of May, 48 people including mostly anarchists from various
groups were taken by police with the claim of participating riots on Mayday protests in
Istanbul. 13 of them were released on Tuesday and Wednesday from the police headquaters
while 20 others released by the prosecutors yesterday.
Yesterday, late at night, 15 people have been sent to the court by the prosecutors with
the demand of arrest. The court decided to send 9 anarchists to the prison on the charges
of damaging public and private property, causing indignation among the public while
releasing the rest.
