In 1858, the new colony's governor, Sir James Douglas, read the official proclamation that cemented the colony of 'BC'. In 1974 a provincial secretary for 'BC' stated:

"We feel that a holiday should be dedicated to the pioneers who built the colony of British Columbia..."

Owning a car is not only bad for the environment, it's bad for your pocket book, but living without one is not always easy. For those who need more convenience and flexibility than walking, biking or public transit can provide, car sharing is a practical alternative.

When discussing the Olympic Police State many will assume that activists are being paranoid and that such preparations are made to prevent terrorism not ‘legitimate protest’. Here it is important to note that the first two targets for the Integrated National Security Enforcement Teams (INSET) following September 11, 2001, was the West Coast Warriors Society and Animal Liberation activists...Years later, the state has honed its devices and expanded its covert operations. It has not publicly presented itself [in] its totality until now - in the lead up to the 2010 Olympic Games.

Since December 10th, when the Canadian Border Services Agency's attempted deportation of Mr. Laibar Singh was prevented by the incredible demonstration of community support, an overwhleming and increasing racist backlash has resulted. This negative backlash has been fostered specifically by racism and misinformation regarding Laibar's case in mainstream media outlets and online discussion forums.

Come learn about the Alberta Tar Sands ("Oil Sands") and its devastating impact on indigenous nations, the land and environment, labour rights including migrant workers, as well as its global consequences in an era of oil-dependency, the War on Terror, and an expanding corporate regime through agreements such as the Security and Prosperity Partnership
Agreement (SPP) and TILMA.....

This is a call to action to form a political rights group for peers by peers who have had encounters with mental health.
