Harper Hires Bush's Liar Ari Fleischer
CBC is reporting that Stephen Harper has hired George Bush's press secretary Ari "the Fabulist" Fleischer, as well as a former Clinton lobbyist. "The government believes the Washington lobbyists have contacts the Canadian Embassy doesn't have, and can pitch interviews directly to prominent broadcasters and journalists. 'I think it makes a lot of sense,' Paul Cellucci, a former US ambassador to Canada, told CBC News."
Given that Stephen Harper remains the most pro-Bush leader remaining in the western world, Ari should feel right at home here. And just in case you might have forgotten his great work for the great war criminal 'W' the decider - here's a bit of vintage Ari:
"Well, there is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly. That is what this war was about and is about." Press briefing: 2003-04-10
Here he is recently and still obviously in top form:
"After September 11 having been hit once how could we take a chance that Saddam might strike again? And that's the threat that has been removed and I think we are all safer with the threat removed."
Ari "the Fabulist" Fleischer, mouthpiece to Washington war criminals, will now hustle for Harper. How fitting.
Bush in Calgary in March, Condi coming to Harper's alma mater [University of Calgary, May 13], Dick Cheney coming to B.C. for a little salmon fishing in October, and now this.
These American fascists seem to like it here. Welcome to the great white north Ari. You'll find it's a lot like home here...
