Describing “new levels of cruelty and brutality” the report admits that the opposition in Syria is dominated by violent Islamist elements responsible for horrific crimes against the Syrian population...While the report claims that the opposition’s crimes did not “reach the intensity and scale” of those committed by the Assad regime, the facts it reports suggest otherwise. The report depicts the rebels as ruling the areas it controls through murder and despotic terror.

The press in the U.S. continues to dutifully report on the “objective diplomacy” by the Obama administration to broker a “peaceful” resolution to the conflict in Syria...Diplomacy, for the U.S., has meant calling for regime change from the outset and then encouraging Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Israel, their client states in the region, to arm, train and provide political support for a military campaign with the objective of effectively dismembering the Syrian State.

The White House has said in the past few days that its top priority in Syria is to impose regime change, but this is a recipe for a very long conflict. Why should Assad and his government surrender when they are more than holding their own on the battlefield?...And Britain and France are playing a small but mischievous role in ensuring the slaughter in Syria continues.
Under international law, it's a fundamental right. It's inviolable. The UN Charter affirms it.
According to Washington, terrorism is what they do, not us. Defending independent sovereignty is called terrorism. So are legitimate responses to Western/Israeli-sponsored attacks.

In a series of raids in the capital of Istanbul and in the southern provinces of Mersin, Adana and Hatay near the Syrian border, Turkish police rounded up 12 members of Syria’s Al Qaeda-affiliated Al Nusra Front along with chemical weapons materials.
Israeli-style defense is offense. It hasn't been attacked in 40 years. It faces no regional threats now except ones it invents. It prioritizes violence, conflict and instability.
Israel gives chutzpah new meaning. War on humanity defines its agenda. It warned Russia about supplying Syria with sophisticated defensive anti-aircraft missiles. It said Israel will react in response.
On May 27, the so-called one-year EU arms embargo on Syria's opposition ended. Officially it does so on June 1. EU nations agreed to end what never existed.

For a president that is executing Bush’s “war on terror” against Al-Qaeda and “its affiliates,” it seems odd that President Obama has targeted the secular Syrian government for “regime change”...Equally odd is that Obama’s strongest military ally on the ground in Syria...is Jabhat al-Nusra, a group that has affiliated itself with al-Qaeda, and aims to turn Syria into an extremist Islamic state that enforces a fundamentalist version of Sharia law.
Speaking on the 13th anniversary of Lebanon's Resistance and Liberation Day, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah addressed grave regional dangers.

The United States and its allies continue to escalate their military aggression against Syria...Every day brings fresh indications of preparations for war against not only Syria, but also Lebanon and Iran, threatening a region-wide conflagration that could yet involve Russia and China.
Imperial warriors, apologists and supporters never say they're sorry. They want more nations attacked. It's the American way.
Washington bears full responsibility for planning and implementing over two years of proxy war. It's illegitimate. It's lawless.
Syria is Washington's war. It was planned years ago. It began in early 2011. No end of conflict looks near. Escalating it appears likely. Israel's very much involved. It abhors peace and stability. Its history reflects belligerence. It’s a direct threat. It borders Syria.
