Mexican Media Scandal Hits Tumultuous Presidential Election
<div class='node-body'><p>On Wednesday, <em>the Guardian/UK</em> revealed new evidence showing a close relationship between Mexico's presidential frontrunner, Enrique Peña Nieto, and predominant broadcasting company Televisa, ahead of Sunday's presidential elections. According to <em>the Guardian</em>, a secret unit inside of Televisa was assigned to run a covert campaign for Nieto in 2009 among other pro-Nieto activities. The discovery supports accusations that Televisa has systematically promoted Nieto during this year's presidential race.</p></div><div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-news-hp-image">
