UNCEDED COAST SALISH TERRITORY -  Police presence was heavy at the latest Casseroles event - a dance party outside the Vancouver Art Gallery.  At least two dozen Vancouver police were on hand, including at least two officers videotaping passersby, dancers and spectators.

This time there were no arrests reported. The last two Casseroles events in support of the Quebec student uprising saw the VPD surround,  attack and arrest several people for wearing black and for gathering outside the Vancouver jail in support of arrested comrades. Charges included the classic "Assault police" as well as loitering!

Members of the VPD recently travelled to Quebec to study that province's notorious "crowd control" techniques.
