In light of recent news where the Province Snaps Up Poverty Hotels,
Nanaimo MayorI am posting video I took back at the end of February 2007. It is two clips of an interview of the mayor of Nanaimo talking about a housing initiative, among other things.
The sound quality is poor, but if you crank up the volume you can here the mayor's opinion of people without shelter. You probably can't see it, but he was wearing a tiny Olympics pin on his suit.
In ten days, for lack of suitable work for money and a lack of money, I will be living outdoors myself. I posted my clips on homelessnation.org.
