It "sounds" like police might get a new crime fighting tool

Lubbock police tested a new gadget that "sounds" like it might help them fight crime. The device makes noises, some high pitched, and some just annoying.
It can help break up a crowd or it can help police pressure a suspect to come out of a house. A company called Safe Country demonstrated it Wednesday at the police shooting range.
"And this morning was just an introduction to the product," says Lt. Neal Barron. "And if we choose to research it more in depth, we'll bring it back out and try to get a group of volunteers to come out and see how it affects them."
NewsChannel 11 has been told this device will also be used in Canada for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
