Public meeting: Medical Association for the Prevention of War dinner & discussion

Our guest speaker will be Professor Louise Newman, psychiatrist and director of the Centre for Developmental Psychiatry & Psychology, Monash University, who's a strong advocate for refugees and asylum seekers. Her research looks at the link between time in restrictive detention and rates of mental illness. 6.30pm. La Notte restaurant, 140 Lygon St, Carlton. $30 (student members $15). RSVP to MAPW.</p>
