Steve Point Stalo Lieutenant Governor, Second Indian

History has a rare chance to triumph over evil in a most ironic manner, with Steven Point accepting the call to serve as Lieutenant governor of our Province, only the second Aboriginal to occupy the Government House since the Colony was imposed, and by replacing the worst traitor to Indians in world history, Iona Herod. James Douglas was Black and Indian, and his wife was Indian, the daughter of Conolley whose Indian marriage was recognized in Common Law, setting the precedent for Constitutional recognition of Potlatch as the highest Indian Institution of government; with the Stalo Chief Steven "judge' Point in that office, we look forward to the restoration of Skidegate's sovereignty and the relegation of the colonial framework to its proper, seconday role in the management of our Land and Resources. Skidegate doesn't expect the Chief to settle immediately, but he has less than a year to 8.8.2008 in Beijing, and 2010 looms here, so well wishers of those Games need the earliest surrender that can be arranged.

The Conolly Case decided that the Indian marriage of her parents was legal and the children won their estate. James Douglas tried to honor Indian Titles but even though he had worked many years with the Hudsan's Bay Company, directly with Indians, Douglas had no grasp of the Potlatch. Duncan however lived on the Skeena and learned our language. The combination of Scripture with the Messianism of the Kitksan sparked megalomania in the Preacher, resulting in there being two Metlakaatla Villages, one in Canada, another in Alaska. Out of the collision of world cultures at the Skeena River, came the Potlatch law which led to the Indian Act and all the demoralization and decadence that befell Indians. So no one should think the war is over with this eventuality of the Treaty Party being promoted.

The first question for the English Queen's loyal deputy is, on what grounds does the Colony still refuse to 'Recognize and Affirm' Skidegate's Potlatch?

Any 'government' is arm and army of the Church. The church inflicted this Genocide against the Potlatch by victimizing the children of several generations. Justice is being pronounced in many areas, but without the Church or governments stepping back from the behaviour that generates their evil. The Potlatch must be recognized in Skidegate and in Skidegate's claims, because Title is prerequisite to Potlatch as Potlatch is forum of Titles.

This fresh Lt. Governor is reminded of speeches we heard in Terrace, Chilliwac, and UBC, in 1974, predicting that when the Devil offers the world on a plate, and just one refuses, then domination will cease from the whole world and then an Indian will explain the languages; this was translated by the media into the 'Rejection of Funds' campaign. Mr. Point takes this prophecy onto himself, at the same time as the world dearly needs good news, and while the Stalo appear to enjoy themselves, at least those who are Grand Chiefs, which means something in treaty circles, the question remains the same: Potlatch or Colony?

There are no Indians left except Skidegate, Eagle Gathering, Apache, and Haida, with Kaat as well, so nothing can be made of the artefact that Judge Point is Aboriginal, since that term only multiplies the nations without sharing any of the Ecology. Those feeling proud of this appointment of Point must first remember that this Monarchy and the Colony are mere parasites upon Indian Title. Whoever thinks this is an achievement need wait, Hal'tldowkit. Spirit arranges these paradoxes so the high in office face moral and ethical questions, and rightly choosing the Spirit blesses them, but wrongly choosing, Spirit curses.

Kitsalano the Kitksan, lived along False Creek when it was a true stream. Skidegate lives here now. This is Haida Land, what the Salish speaking people call territory, has not been territory since Kitksan Tsalmkgekaat landed from Asia with Haida and Dene. Kitsalano Potlatched Russians, Spanish, English, and still Potlatches these Canadians, while the Salish Speaking People can Potlatch or not, Skidegate is not concerned with their ideas of territory. Skidegate inherits the measured lands and estates held by the Colony, while any one with only a right to territory cannot trespass.

These facts being the same now as when Steven Point spoke to, and heard Skidegate, no more need be said or done except surrender and Potlatch.
